You can't turn around without hearing how bad the economy is, so what bargains can we tell each other about? For example, I just bought $4.95 eyeglass cleaning kit from the optical dept. of Walmart. It has a number of disposable towelettes, a permanent lint free cloth, and a spray bottle of cleaner that the clerk at Walmart said to bring in whenever I run out and they'll refill for free...no limit. This will come in handy now that everyone in the house is in glasses, and I can use it to clean my camera lenses as well.

...I bought like 2 dollar shoes in China. Although that probably doesn't count.
...Actually pretty much everything is cheaper in China. Anyways I keep tabs on all deals and sales that are going on. I don't spend as much anymore, I used to be more impulsive about buying. Powered by Yahoo Answers |

I'd love to hear some 'bargains' reguarding paying for college, lol...
Um, let's see... WalMart has vitamin water at $1 each (whereas the grocery store I ususally buy it at has it for almost twice that) (Yeah...I drink vitamin water like normal people breathe oxygen) Hmm... Costco is full of bargains... I'd like to work somewhere that offers employee discounts & get some gift-cards with that discount... wouldn't that be great? Like if it were an iTunes gift-card that was bought at whole-sale to save me a couple bucks...that'd be pretty awesome. :p But yeah... start a "club" of people who all need the same couple of things, than buy them together wholesale... My eldest sister once started a kind of "costco-club"... they'd get jars & baggies & get jumbo jars of mayo, huge packs of trail mix, etc... It worked pretty well, unless only one of them needed mayo or gum or something. :p Powered by Yahoo Answers |

Water. Check the quality of your water where
you live. It's probably better than bottled water. And sorry, but Walmart isn't a bargain. I watched a movie that explained how their stores can actually make consumers pay in other ways, (such as for medical care for Walmart employees). If you have to buy water, or anything else, I suggest that you not shop at Walmart. Powered by Yahoo Answers |

Here's a good one: the absolute CHEAPEST place to buy refill ink for your inkjet printers is www.4inkjets.com. They are less than half the cost of buying it at any office supply store, have excellent service and fast delivery.
I have been very happy ordering from them and am glad to give them a good plug. They have almost every printer ink brand on earth. An example of how inexpensive they are is this: I have an Epson CX8400 printer/scanner/copier. It takes 3 color and 1 black cartridge. They sell a SET of cartridges for this printer--3 EACH of the colors, (3 cyan, 3 magenta and 3 yellow,) with 4 black cartridges for a TOTAL of $48.99. That's 13 printer cartridges for 48.99--less than $3.99 EACH. These aren't refills, either. They're new, and fresh. VERY good company. I highly recommend them. Powered by Yahoo Answers |

Shopping in thrift stores for clothing, shoes, household items, gifts, jewelry, furniture, etc. I love to recycle and reuse!
Also, here in southwestern PA there is a clothing store called Gabriel Brothers - they carry a lot of awesome underground brands from stores like Urban Outfitters. They are getting rid of their winter inventory - every item I bought today was a dollar! Can you imagine, paying a dollar for a $60 pair of pants?! I cannot fathom how I used to spend $20 on a single article of clothing.. For food I like to shop at a local farmer's market. Powered by Yahoo Answers |
