Default I want a DOG! how do I bargain?

I live with my family, and we rent a house in a cute little town. This one old lady doesnt allow us to have a dog. She lets us have a bird who poops all over the house, a guine apig who pees on the floor when we let him run around, why not a dog?? she has a daughter who we give the rent to, and shes fine with the whole dog thing, but no no dog. I WANT A DOG> MY WHOLE FAMILY WANTS A DOG!

So convince your family to move to a house where you can have a dog -

Whoever owns the property has the right to say yes or no to any pet. Read over your lease agreement: if it says "dogs allowed" then you may be able to argue with her over it. If it doesn't specify or says something like "pets upon approval" then she has the power to say no.

PS - The daughter probably doesn't have to pay for any of the insurance or for any type of upkeep. The mother does, and probably knows that a dog is not approved on her insurance for the place.

Offer to pay a pet deposit. Most places who accept dogs require a non-refundable pet deposit.

try to get a tiny dog. Like a chihauha or something:P
Tell them what the traits of the dog are and hopefully they will make an exeption for little dogs. :D Or just move ; but thats a little harder :P

Good luck =D

Its called move to a house/apartment where you CAN have a dog. Doesn't matter what the daughter thinks, she is NOT your landlord. Her mother is and if she says no dog then she means NO DOG. Hell I wouldn't let you have the pets you have now since your family can't seem to be bothered to keep them from USING THE FLOOR/HOUSE as a damn toilet.

If you can't keep the pets you have no from toileting everywhere do you honestly think you can housebreak a dog?

usually you need to pay a fee to own a dog in the owners property!
I mean if i owned it I would say NO!
Maybe the person who lives there will not care for the dog properly and they house wil be messed up and loose value?
Anything can happen!

I know it is harder now with the economical crisis adn all but you may need to wait to move and get a home of your own or a place where pets are allowed!
Good luck!

so move.
your landlady OWNS the house. she can KICK you out, AND sue you for disregarding her rules about certain pets.
many households that are rented are the same way; they will have small/rodent animals; and not allowed to have dogs/cats.

If you want a dog so bad than just move to a place where you can have a dog. I don't think that the old lady will just give up and say "OK you can get a dog." Either wait till she croaks or move.
