plea bargain question?

If i plea guilty to a violation, (what was offered) is that what shows up on my record? a violation and fine i can live with and I know or hope it wont hurt future job prospects.

It depends on if you are getting a deferred (generally probation and does not show), a suspended (generally probation but all charges show if you mess up you can be put in prison for the remainder of the suspended sentence), or a sentence to jail or prison.

Yes, what you plead to shows on your RAP sheet as what you pled to, but the RAP sheet will also show what your charge was. However, what you pled to is what you are guilty of doing, the rest becomes window dressing.

A plea bargain is what the prosecutor is going to offer the Judge as a satisfactory judgment for the state. Whether the judge accepts is as satifactory or not is the problem. Generally the judge will accept what the prosecutor recommends, but not always. Take the deal and run with it, don't draw attention to yourself. The judge has seen it all, don't make yourself standout from the rest. If you get a continuence, it will aggrevate the judge and the prosecutor. They have such a big caseload now. None of this is how it is supposed to be but it is.
